What this is about....

My 10 year old plays soccer competitively, and also attends goalie training, so he is at the soccer field 3-4 nights per week, plus games. On top of that, when he plays in tournaments, he can have up to 3 games in one day. He also runs several nights a week. I try to do my best to make sure he gets the nutrition he needs so he has the calories he requires, as well as the proper foods to maintain his energy. My kids are gluten free due to celiac disease. This is a place to share ideas and recipes to help with nutrition and fitness. I am not an expert but have done research and asked questions of people who are experts, and just want to share what I have learned for my kids and myself.
